COVID ANTIBODY, ANTIGEN & PCR TESTING at Macon Community Hospital

COVID-19 ANTIBODY TESTING IS AVAILABLE at Macon Community Hospital with same day results. This test is a good way to find out if your vaccinations created antibodies to COVID-19 as expected. If not, you may still be at an increased risk of contracting COVID-19. It is also useful for someone who thinks they may have had COVID-19 and is at least 10 days post-infection. The self-pay price for this test is $40 and an order from a provider is NOT required. Or, if you have a provider’s order, we can bill your insurance.

IF YOU ARE SICK OR HAVE BEEN EXPOSED, you need an order from a provider to get a PCR test. Everyone that is sick or exposed needs a test that will detect the virus as low as PCR will to make sure you don’t have COVID. If you just need the test for a requirement from a venue, school, airline, etc., then you can have a rapid test (self-pay only).

HOURS FOR OUTPATIENT COVID TESTING ARE 7AM – 5PM. If you are having the COVID Antibody Test, you may enter the hospital after being screened at either of the two open hospital entrances (204 Medical Drive or 305 West Locust Street) where you will then be directed to the lab.

IF YOU ARE BEING TESTED FOR ACTIVE COVID-19 INFECTION, park on West Locust Street between Family Care Center and Citizens Bank. Call 615-666-7610, ext. 363, and a staff member will come to your vehicle.
