Caring for Patients With Acute, Specialized Medical and Surgical Needs!

The Med Surg Department at MCH is designed to provide specialized care services for patients with acute medical and surgical needs. Admissions are based on provider referral and can range from a short observation period to a two or three night stay, or longer, depending on the situation.

The Med Surg unit sees patients often transferred from other areas, such as acute care centers, intensive care units, or emergency rooms. The med-surg team may include nurses, surgeons, physicians, physical or occupational therapists and patient advocates.
