Effective Date 11/01/2021

Our hospital is committed to providing the highest quality care and ensuring the safety of our patients, employees, providers, and visitors during the COVID-19 pandemic. We continue to adjust our operations and are taking the necessary steps to ensure safe care for all patients, in accordance with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and in partnership with our local and state health departments.

As Macon County has seen a decrease in the number of cases and based on recent information from the CDC and the TN Department of Health, we are able to relax some of our visitation policies. Effective November 1st, 2021, we will begin allowing limited visitation for our inpatient, ER and outpatient areas. Following are the limitations:

  • Visitors must enter and exit through the Main/ED entrance

  • Visitors will be screened for temperature and symptoms and must wear a mask for the duration of their visit per OSHA guidelines

  • Visitors of ER patients must stay in the ER and cannot go to other areas of the hospital unless the patient is transferred to the med/surg area

  • Only one (1) visitor at a time per patient

  • Inpatient visitors must check out when they leave the campus. Failure to do so will restrict additional visitors for that patient for the day

  • No visitors will be allowed for COVID-19 positive or PUI patients

  • No visitors under the age of 12 will be allowed

  • Inpatient visiting hours will be 9 am – 8 pm.

Exceptions can be made by the charge nurse for limited events such as end of life, pediatric, etc. Employees and caregivers are not classified as visitors.
