Comfort on Four Paws Comes to MCH, Bringing Smiles and Joy to Patients!

MACON COMMUNITY HOSPITAL IS EXCITED TO INTRODUCE our new Pet Therapy Program, made possible through Therapy ARC, a premiere pet therapy organization founded in 2004. Each week, patients can look forward to visits from Jappo, a friendly, certified therapy dog, and his devoted handler, Pam Tongate.

FOR WAGGING TAILS AT THE DOORWAY to gentle nuzzles on a hand, Jappo brings moments of comfort, laughter, and companionship that can brighten even the toughest days. These weekly visits aren’t just heartwarming — they help ease stress, lift spirits, and remind patients that small joys can make a big difference on the path to healing.

EXPERIENCE THE SIMPLE JOY OF A FURRY FRIEND, because at Macon Community Hospital, we know that care comes in many forms!
