Biography
Meet Lauren Hammer, MS, CCC-SLP, Speech Language Pathologist, as she joins the Macon Community Hospital family of healthcare providers!
Lauren graduated from Western Kentucky University with a master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology. Her expertise covers a wide spectrum of therapy care, including specialized focus in autism, augmentative alternative communication, early intervention, and dyslexia/reading intervention.
She spent her graduate school studies helping patients at elementary school level as well as a family-based rehabilitation and wellness center. Since graduating, Lauren has worked with a wide range of ages from toddlers to geriatrics in environments including clinical settings, a rehab hospital, and more. She is excited for the opportunity to join Macon Community Hospital and looks forward to serving our community!
In her spare time, Lauren enjoys spending time with friends and family and participating in a variety of fun and educational activities with her peers!
