Cataract Care Close to Home

Dr. Kammer visits Macon Community Hospital regularly to provide consultations, evaluations, follow-up care, and cataract procedures for patients in our community. This allows patients to receive experienced, specialized eye care locally, without the added stress and inconvenience of traveling far from home.

Cataracts occur when the eye’s natural lens becomes cloudy over time, causing vision to become blurry, dim, or less sharp. Cataracts are extremely common and often develop gradually as part of the aging process.

Symptoms of cataracts may include:

  • Blurry or cloudy vision
  • Increased glare from lights
  • Difficulty driving at night
  • Faded or dull color perception
  • Frequent prescription changes
  • Trouble seeing clearly during daily activities

Cataract surgery is a safe, effective procedure designed to restore clearer vision and help patients return to the activities they enjoy most.
